COMPOSITION

Each 1 mL contains:

  • Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) ............. 100 mg

  • Riboflavin 5'-Phosphate Sodium (Vitamin B2) ..... 5 mg

  • Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3) ........................ 100 mg

  • D-Panthenol (Vitamin B5) ........................ 10 mg

  • Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) ........... 10 mg

  • Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) .................... 100 µg

Excipients: Benzyl Alcohol (Preservative), Water for Injection q.s.

INDICATIONS

VITABEX® is indicated for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin B-complex deficiencies and as supportive therapy in:

  • Loss of appetite (Anorexia)

  • Stress due to transport, heat or management

  • Convalescence after disease or surgery

  • Weakness and fatigue

  • Neurological disorders associated with Vitamin B deficiency

  • Pregnancy and lactation support

  • Growth promotion in young animals

  • Metabolic disorders

  • Recovery following parasitic or infectious diseases

  • Supportive treatment during antibiotic therapy

  • General debility and poor performance


PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

VITABEX® supplies essential B-complex vitamins involved in:

  • Energy metabolism

  • Carbohydrate metabolism

  • Protein synthesis

  • Fat metabolism

  • Nervous system function

  • Red blood cell production

  • Appetite stimulation

  • Tissue repair

  • Recovery from stress

The combination helps restore normal metabolic activity during periods of increased physiological demand.


DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Administer by:

  • Intramuscular (IM)

  • Subcutaneous (SC)

  • Slow Intravenous (IV)

Treatment may be repeated daily or as directed by the attending veterinarian depending on the clinical condition. Vitamin B-complex injections are commonly administered by IM, SC or slow IV injection according to veterinary judgement.


CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.


SPECIAL WARNINGS

Inject slowly when administered intravenously.

Hypersensitivity reactions following injectable thiamine have been reported rarely; appropriate emergency treatment should be available.


ADVERSE REACTIONS

Occasionally:

  • Mild transient pain at the injection site

  • Local swelling

  • Hypersensitivity reactions (rare)

If severe allergic reactions occur, discontinue treatment immediately and institute appropriate therapy.


USE DURING PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

Can be used during pregnancy and lactation according to veterinary recommendation.


DRUG INTERACTIONS

Compatible with most antimicrobial agents, NSAIDs, fluid therapy and supportive treatments.

Do not mix with other injectable products in the same syringe unless compatibility has been established.


OVERDOSE

Vitamin B-complex has a wide safety margin.

Overdosage is generally well tolerated; treatment should be symptomatic if required.

STORAGE

Store below 25°C.

Protect from direct light.

Do not freeze.

Keep the vial tightly closed.

  • 36 months before opening.

  • Use within 28 days after first broaching (subject to stability validation).
