COMPOSITION

Each 1 mL contains:

  • Butaphosphan ........................................ 100 mg

  • Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) ............... 50 µg

Excipients .................................................. q.s. to 1 mL

INDICATIONS

PHOSVIA® is indicated as a metabolic stimulant and supportive therapy for:

  • Metabolic disorders

  • Ketosis (Acetonemia)

  • Stress associated with transportation, heat or management

  • Poor appetite

  • General weakness and fatigue

  • Convalescence following infectious or parasitic diseases

  • Reproductive disorders associated with metabolic imbalance

  • Reduced milk production

  • Growth retardation

  • Nutritional deficiencies

  • Recovery after surgery

  • Supportive treatment during antibiotic therapy

  • Increased physical performance in working and athletic animals


PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

PHOSVIA® combines the metabolic effects of Butaphosphan with the hematopoietic and metabolic activity of Vitamin B12.

Butaphosphan

The combination helps animals recover rapidly from stress and metabolic challenges while improving productivity and overall performance.


DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Administer by:

  • Intramuscular (IM)

  • Subcutaneous (SC)

  • Slow Intravenous (IV)

Treatment may be repeated daily for 3–5 consecutive days or according to the veterinarian's recommendation.


CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to Butaphosphan, Vitamin B12, or any component of the formulation.


SPECIAL WARNINGS

Use aseptic technique during administration.

Do not exceed the recommended dosage unless advised by a veterinarian.


ADVERSE REACTIONS

Occasionally:

  • Mild swelling at the injection site

  • Transient discomfort following injection

Rarely:

  • Hypersensitivity reactions

If allergic reactions occur, discontinue treatment immediately and provide appropriate therapy.


USE DURING PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

PHOSVIA® may be administered during pregnancy and lactation under veterinary supervision.


DRUG INTERACTIONS

Compatible with most:

  • Antibiotics

  • NSAIDs

  • Electrolyte solutions

  • Vitamin preparations

  • Fluid therapy

Do not mix with other injectable products in the same syringe unless compatibility has been demonstrated.


OVERDOSE

Due to the high safety margin of Butaphosphan and Vitamin B12, overdose is unlikely to produce serious adverse effects.

Treatment should be symptomatic if necessary.


WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

Meat: Zero days

Milk: Zero days

(Subject to local regulatory approval.)


STORAGE

Store below 25°C.

Protect from direct sunlight.

Do not freeze.

Keep the vial in the original carton.


SHELF LIFE

  • 36 months before opening.

  • Use within 28 days after first broaching (subject to stability studies).
