WAPEL NEO-START ELITE is a highly concentrated oral paste developed to provide immediate nutritional support to newborn and weak animals during the critical first hours of life.

Its comprehensive formula combines standardized bovine colostrum, egg-derived immunoglobulins, rapidly available carbohydrates, medium-chain triglycerides, probiotics, prebiotics, gut-supporting nutrients, vitamins and trace minerals.

The formula helps support early vitality, body temperature, suckling behaviour, intestinal balance and the development of the newborn animal’s natural defences.

Dextrose provides immediately available energy, while maltodextrin and glycerol help provide continued nutritional support.

MCT oil contains rapidly utilized fatty acids that can provide a concentrated energy source during the critical period following birth.

2. Colostrum & Immunoglobulin Support

Standardized bovine colostrum supplies IgG, natural proteins and growth-associated nutrients.

Egg yolk powder provides IgY immunoglobulins that help support the newborn animal’s natural intestinal defences.

3. Gut Barrier & Microbiome Support

MOS and beta-glucans support beneficial intestinal microorganisms and natural immune function.

Bacillus spores support microbial balance and offer better stability in paste products than many conventional live bacterial cultures.

RECOMMENDED USE

Calves and Camel Calves

Administer one complete 30 g syringe orally as soon as possible after birth, preferably after the first adequate colostrum feeding.

In weak, chilled or stressed newborn animals, a further dose may be administered after 12–24 hours, based on veterinary advice.

Lambs and Goat Kids

Administer 4–5 g orally as soon as possible after birth.

For weak, twin, triplet, chilled or slow-suckling newborns, repeat 4–5 g after 8–12 hours when required.

Transported Young Animals

• Calves: 15–30 g orally

• Lambs and kids: 4–5 g orally

Administer at arrival or during periods of nutritional and environmental stress.

The final dosage must be confirmed by product tolerance, palatability and field studies before commercial label approval.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Remove the cap and adjust the syringe ring to the required graduation.

Place the nozzle carefully over the back of the tongue and administer slowly, allowing the animal to swallow.

Ensure that the animal is able to swallow normally before administration.

IMPORTANT COLOSTRUM STATEMENT

WAPEL NEO-START ELITE is a concentrated nutritional support paste.

It is not a substitute for an adequate quantity of high-quality maternal colostrum.

Newborn animals must receive sufficient good-quality colostrum as soon as possible after birth. In calves, colostrum management should normally target early feeding based on body weight and colostrum quality.

The absorption of intact maternal immunoglobulins decreases rapidly following birth. Therefore, adequate colostrum administration should never be delayed in order to give this product.

WHEN TO USE

Recommended for:

• Weak or exhausted newborn animals.

• Difficult or prolonged births.

• Small calves, lambs and kids.

• Twins and triplets.

• Newborns exposed to cold weather.

• Animals slow to stand or suckle.

• Calves born to dams with poor colostrum production.

• Young animals during transport or introduction to a new farm.

• Periods of nutritional, environmental or management stress.

PRECAUTIONS

• For veterinary use only.

• For oral administration only.

• Do not administer to an unconscious animal or an animal without a normal swallowing reflex.

• Do not force excessive paste into the mouth because of the risk of aspiration.

• Warm and stabilize severely hypothermic newborn animals according to veterinary advice.

• Consult a veterinarian in cases of persistent weakness, hypothermia, diarrhoea, dehydration, abdominal distension, respiratory difficulty or failure to suckle.

• The product is not intended to treat bacterial, viral, protozoal or systemic infections.

• Do not use in animals with known sensitivity to milk, egg or any other ingredient.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Not for human consumption.

STORAGE

Store between 5°C and 25°C in a cool, dry place.

Protect from direct sunlight, heat and freezing.

Replace the cap immediately after partial use.

Once opened, use within the period established by the manufacturer’s in-use stability study.
